Acceptance Of Terms

By using this website, participating in our programs, applying for trading card gifts, or making donations, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined here. Kardz For Kids Foundation reserves the right to update these terms at any time.

Mission And Services

Kardz For Kids INC is a. nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hope, joy, and purpose to children through trading card games. We provide custom decks of trading cards to eligible children twice a year—on their birthday and Christmas—based on our mission criteria.

Eligibility to Receive From The Kardz For Kidz Foundation

Children must meet one or more of the following criteria to be eligible:

  • Be between the ages of 6 and 17 years old

  • Reside in a household with an annual income of less than $50,000

  • Be in the foster care system or awaiting adoption

  • Be diagnosed with a debilitating, life-altering, or terminal illness

A parent or legal guardian must submit the application and consent to participate.

4. Donations and Contributions

Kardz For Kids Foundation accepts both financial and in-kind donations (cards, sealed products, graded items, etc.).

  • All card donations are valued for tax purposes based on our valuation policy:

    • $3 per 10 ungraded cards

    • Market value for sealed products or graded cards (if verified)

  • Donors are responsible for shipping costs.

  • Annual contribution letters will be mailed each January for the prior year’s donations.

We reserve the right to reject or redistribute any donations that do not align with our mission or standards.

5. Privacy and Protection of Minors

We are committed to protecting the privacy and dignity of the children and families we serve.

  • No identifying information (full names, addresses, photos, etc.) will be shared publicly without written consent from a legal guardian.

  • All stories, photos, or testimonials shared will require a signed release form.

  • Only approved internal staff will have access to personal information.

6. Sales Live Streams & Events

All sales, spins, and giveaways hosted via our Whatnot streams or similar platforms are subject to the following:

  • Prizes are random and not guaranteed in value

  • Donated cards become property of Kardz For Kids INC and are non-refundable

  • Winners may choose to have cards shipped or donated back to support future giveaways

  • All streams are final sale unless an error or issue is confirmed

We reserve the right to adjust the prize tiers, values, or donation credits at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Kardz For Kids Foundation is not responsible for:

  • Lost, delayed, or damaged mail

  • Technical issues on Whatnot or our website

  • Misuse of donated cards or gifts by third parties

  • Any allergic reactions, misuse, or injury resulting from opened items

All gifts are provided “as-is” with no warranties or guarantees.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this site—including logos, videos, images, designs, and written material—is the property of Kardz For Kids INC. It may not be reused, reproduced, or modified without written permission.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana and applicable federal laws of the United States.

  • Who can apply to receive cards from Kardz For Kidz?
    Children ages 6–17 who are in foster care, from low-income families (household income under $50,000/year), or facing serious, life altering, or terminal illness are eligible to apply. Parents or legal guardians must fill out the application and give written permission.
  • How often will my child receive cards?
    We send two 60-card custom decks per year—once on their birthday, and once at Christmas. We try to get cards set on their birthday week, and 2 weeks before Christmas.
  • What kind of cards will my child receive?
    Each deck is customized and may include Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana, or other popular trading cards based on your child’s interests. Decks include commons, rares, and even holos to make it fun and exciting!
  • Is there a cost to receive cards?
    No! Our cards and shipping are 100% free to qualified families, thanks to generous donors.
  • Will you share my child’s name or story online?
    Only if you give us specific written permission. We protect every child’s identity and privacy as part of our core values. If you would like to share your child's story either with us or have us share it with others, you can fill out this form and let us know if it's just for us or give us permission to share it with others. https://www.kardzforkidz.org/share-your-story
  • Can my child change the type of cards they would like to receive?
    Yes! you can request to change the type of cards your child will receive... If those cards are not available, your child may be waitlisted until we have enough of those types of cards to add them to that category. To request a change to card types email us at donations@kardzforkidz.org
  • How can my card shop get involved?
    We'd love your partnership! You can: Donate bulk or hit cards, or sealed product Display a flier in your shop Host a donation box where customers can donate unwanted cards Sponsor a child’s birthday or holiday shipment If you would like to do any of these things, reach out to us email us at donations@kardzforkidz.org and let us know.
  • Can I request a flier or donation box kit?
    Yes! Email us at donations@kardzforkidz.org and we’ll send materials right to your shop or event space.
  • What kinds of cards can I donate?
    We accept Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana, and other TCGs. Bulk commons, playable cards, holos, hits, sealed products, and even graded cards are welcome. All cards must be authentic and in good condition. Any cards received not in good condition will be thrown away.
  • Are donations tax-deductible?
    We are in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Once approved, donations made from our incorporation date forward may be retroactively tax-deductible. We provide detailed receipts for your records.
  • How do I send cards I want to donate?
    You can mail cards to our address at: 1609 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953 We recommend packaging them safely and using tracking. You can also contact us about bulk drop-offs or shop partnerships at donations@kardzforkidz.org
  • How are donated cards used?
    Donated cards are sorted, cleaned(if needed), and used to build 60-card custom decks for kids. Some are used in our Whatnot fundraiser streams, where a portion is recycled into future auctions and the rest goes to kids. 3 Cards of every 10 bulk cards(Common/Uncommon/Trainers/Energies) donated currently go into our "Wild Encounter Packs" to be auctioned or sold to help us cover the shipping and operation costs of giving cards to kids in our program... the 3 cards are chosen randomly and are never picked based on current value. 1 of every 10 Hit cards(rare or above) are added to the "Wild Encounter Packs" to be auctioned or sold to help us cover the shipping and operation costs of giving cards to kids in our program.
  • Can I support the mission financially?
    Yes! You can give online at www.kardzforkidz.org/give or by mailing a check to 1609 E 38th Street Marion, IN 46953 100% of donations support operations, card shipping, packaging, and expanding our outreach.
